Denim Tips

Denim tips

Denim is a "way of life" is what I like to say. There are so many options out there it can paralyze a person. Years ago I owned my own clothing company. I specialized in denim fits. I don't like a ton of text, I just want to get right to the facts and tips for ya. So here it is. Real simple.

Biggest mistake people make when buying denim.

"I buy larger because it makes me feel skinnier"-STOP THIS! What it does it actually makes you look a ton larger than you really are....because we can't even see how small you are because you look like a puppy dog in many wrinkles that is trying to find it's way. If you want to look smaller and better buy......wait for it.... TIGHT! This allows the stretch to happen after the purchase and worn. To make the perfect fit.

Best way to buy denim:

Suck in.....and button up. You got this. Buy them a bit tighter...let them loosin and fall in love with your size. Small, large, whatever it is for you at the moment. Learn to accept your size. Sounds blunt? yes, I know it, but you can take it. I don't lie when it comes to denim.

Top 3 Brands to help with your shape?

Joes for all sorts of sizes. They have long legs, high waisted, twiggy body shape, curvy body shape, they are basically geared to help every body type.

Current Elliotts. They are the only ones I wear usually. I have a closet full. Why? because no matter how much cheese on your bum you have. They make your legs, and bum look smooth. So yes the price tag is high. But the perks are worth it.

Levi 501 Not only is the price tag pretty so is how trendy they are. They are fun, funky, and sleek if needed. The options are endless. These vintage ones are my most fav.
